Insurance
Fire, smoke, and firefighting-water losses are documented in full so your claim reflects the real scope.
Overview
A fire claim covers more than the flames. The soot, the smoke odor, the water the fire department used, and the contents, all of it is part of the loss, and a claim that misses any of it leaves you short. We inventory and document the whole picture and write it in the estimating language your carrier expects.
Good to Know
A fire claim has moving parts most water claims don't. Beyond the structure itself, there's usually a content inventory, a room-by-room list of damaged or destroyed belongings, that carriers expect to be itemized, and smoke and soot damage that reaches far beyond the visibly burned area and has to be documented to be paid for. If the home is unlivable, your policy may include additional living expenses (ALE) that cover temporary housing while repairs happen, which many homeowners don't realize they can claim. We help separate the structure claim from the contents claim, document the full smoke and soot scope rather than just the char, and hand your adjuster an estimate that reflects the real extent of the loss, not just what shows in photos.
How We Help
We photograph the loss, log daily moisture readings, write the estimate in Xactimate, and communicate with your adjuster directly, from the first inspection through final payment.
